I wanted to share with you all today some of my personal favorite reasons for starting an eCommerce store, as well as what other eCommerce owners have to say.
1. It’s Easy To Start
Quite honestly, it truly is easy to start an online store. Getting started with Shopify is as easy as knowing a business name that you’d like to use and then filling out the questions.
After watching some tutorials, or hiring me as your personalized coach, you could have a fully functional store up and running in a week or less.
This does depend on how many hours you want to put in a day/week. In my program, we take 2 months to get your store ready to go and I teach you how to advertise on Google and market on Pinterest.
2. You Are Your Own Boss
This is a business of your own that you own. While you do need to abide by the terms of Shopify or Woocommerce or Google etc., you still own your own business.
I can tell you that this is a really amazing feeling. Being your own boss means you answer to you. It’s not for everyone but for those that desire to be an entrepreneur, it’s worth it.
The BIGGEST perk to this is that you can’t get fired. The work you put in is for you, not your boss and not another company. No more worrying if you’re running late to work or if there will be layoffs.
3. Set Your Own Hours
That’s right. You work as much or as little as you’d like. After all, you are the boss! Lol
It’s so liberating knowing that if you don’t feel well then you can take the day off without having to worry about what the boss will say or using your time off to be sick.
Want to take a vacation? Do it! And, you can choose whether you work during your vacation or not 😉
4. Make money 24/7
Just because you are making money 24/7 with your online eCommerce store, that doesn’t mean that you physically have to work 24/7.
This is another great perk! Make money in the shower, while you sleep, in the movies, while you’re out to dinner and so on!
Since your store is virtual and online, it’s accessible to everyone which means sales can come in at all hours of the day. CHA-CHING!
5. No Inventory Needed
This was a major bonus for me. You don’t have to make your own products or hold inventory! Say what?! Yep!
While an eCommerce store can be compared to a brick & mortar store, that doesn’t mean that you have to hold inventory in the basement of your home.
Using a method called “drop shipping”, you can rest easy and allow someone else to keep the inventory for you.

Owning your own eCommerce store has never been more accessible or as easy as it is today.
